About the COC summit
Communities of Color Anti-Violence Summit Is a platform for crime victim advocate and prevention advocates in Iowa to convene and exchange valuable information, resources, and insights. This gathering offers a conducive environment for individuals and organizations to engage in networking opportunities and participate in culturally tailored workshops led by experts entrenched in marginalized communities.
Notably, advocates and service providers within mainstream organizations sometimes struggle to highlight the significance of culturally specific support and services. The summit offers a forum for such individuals to address challenges, devise strategies, foster connections, and mutually empower one another.
Call for proposal

We are seeking proposals for workshops and presentations in the upcoming COC Summit 2024 that will take place here in Des Moines, from August 28th,- 30th, 2024 at Embassy Suite Downtown:
Our goal is to spark inspiration in attendees, empowering them to make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors of sexual violence. By participating in our Summit, you will engage in a life-changing experience that will leave you motivated, informed, and energized. Together, we can build a future where survivors discover comfort, assistance, and recovery. Join us in this empowering journey and contribute to the transformation.
